“A creative life is an amplified life. It's a bigger life, a happier life, an expanded life, and a hell of a lot more interesting life”
– Elizabeth Gilbert
In October 2024 I launched a 10 Week Group Somatic Coaching Programme, and had 8 wonderful women join me to try it out for the first time!
I'm excitedly preparing for the second run of the programme, starting in March 2025 and I'd love to share a little bit more about how it initially went and what to expect.
Somatic Coaching offers support and guidance in areas in your personal or professional life that you want to feel more empowered, confident or fulfilled in. Somatics takes into account you as a whole being, not just physical elements, but you as a whole living being, which includes your upbringing and life experiences, environmental factors and emotional and mental elements such as your beliefs or areas you feel limitations in or resistant to.
Group Somatic Coaching, in small intimate groups, can offer a place for additional human connection, understanding, guidance and accountability, with setting goals or intentions for your own wellbeing and moving forward in your life.
Knowing where to start, or how to create meaningful and sustainable changes in our life can be a big barrier, alongside self-limiting beliefs and ingrained habits that we feel keep holding us back.
It can be incredibly frustrating.
I work with women who are sensitive souls; who are anxious and experience low self-esteem or self-worth, and want to learn ways to accept who they are and feel more confident and content within themselves.
Our nervous system, how our experiences are felt within our physiology and whether or not we are connecting to a deep sense of joy on a regular basis, all play a huge role in helping us to feel resourced and equipped to deal with life's inevitable ups and down yet we so often disregard this.
By allowing a little space, inviting in compassion and curiosity, we can start to change our belief patterns, feel safe, loosen the strings of our inner protectors and remember there is creativity, vibrancy and life within us.
Welcome to EMBODY YOUR JOY!

Wonderful Words from previous clients...
"It has been wonderful at slowing me down, to be aware of how I feel and ask myself what I need, which I’m still trying to build in on a daily basis. It has made me not try and perfect things as I have always done which is huge for me."
"It's made me reflect on what brings me joy and try and bring it into my life more - still a work in progress, but I’m setting a weekend aside a month to bring those things in which always involves slowing down, spending time with who I love which I wouldn’t do before as I was so busy, but I’ve allowed myself to reduce this."
"I felt it was really accessible. The group format worked well and I felt safe and comfortable throughout. It was nice to get to know the group and the WhatsApp chat was good too."
The Vision Behind "Embody Your Joy"...
Following the global pandemic, I was feel lost in my business and in my 'purpose', burnt out, financially struggling and was completely disconnected from my own wellbeing practice, and the things I knew would help me cope.
The Embody your Joy programme was born out of my own work with a Somatic Coach and how this helped me regain confidence and clarity in my goals, whilst reclaiming what joy meant for me, without comparing myself to others.
This 10 week offering invites women to explore, sense and feel into this for themselves.
Through practices, tools, community discussion and education, discover the positive effects that stability, rest, creative expression & community support has on your nervous system (and how important your nervous system is in all of this!), increase your confidence and self-esteem and connect with your playful, joyful and expressive soul, in a way that feels accessible for you.
Empowerment Through Movement, Art, and Creativity
Over the 10 weeks, this programme aims to instil some incredibly supportive practices within you, to help you start to build a deep, unbreakable trust in yourself, through getting to know your fears, doubts and limiting beliefs, alongside the creative, joyful parts of you that might get shut away or ignored.
It's time to feel empowered to make choices that will properly guide you through the chaos of life, unravel the ingrained and outdated beliefs and establish some radical self-compassion along the way. Life isn't always calm, slow or easy, so it's important to stay committed to your daily ritual of building emotional resilience, trust and really nurturing your mind-body connection.
This is how we stay connected to our inner joy!
I believe it's important for adults to make time for joy, play, self-expression, art or any creative activity that resonate with you personally. It makes me really sad to think that adults feel they aren't allowed to be silly, or do something just for the fun of it, or even REST because it's considered 'unproductive'.
What if we used our creativity, play and self-expression as part of our personal wellbeing & resilience journey, rather than it being something you dip into every now and then!
The thing you do when you feel on top of the world, or have the energy or an hour to do it?
This programme is a space to unpick our beliefs around all of these things. And I'd love you to take a moment to pause, and connect with your body - What can you sense or feel as you read these words?
The Programme Experience; Safety, Community and Accountability
![A picture taken from above of a community of women showing their paint covered hands.](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/b1238d_cb3c6b39909e4c8eb76b4cc654fcc6ae~mv2.png/v1/fill/w_788,h_940,al_c,q_90,enc_avif,quality_auto/b1238d_cb3c6b39909e4c8eb76b4cc654fcc6ae~mv2.png)
My aim is for you to be seen, heard and gently encouraged throughout this programme, without ever feeling forced.
To help you to feel safe enough to try the practices on offer, build your curiosity around them and how they resonate with you, and start to ask 'what is possible here; with where I am, who I am and what I have available to me'.
You will have the choice and opportunity to share your thoughts and experiences, and use this small online community as an additional support network.
The programme itself will provide you with foundational tools for exploring and sensing safety, stability, connection and creativity from within and being curious about where and what your inner Joy stems from. We will explore creative movement, arts, crafts and journaling, and understand how to work with the Wisdom of the Inner Child, alongside other parts that show up to protect us, such as the Inner Critic.
There will be 8 Live Sessions, and 2 'Integration Weeks' for Resting and Reflecting. You will receive some recorded practices that encourage more rest!
Alongside the weekly practices, we have a WhatsApp group for easier communication, asking questions and sharing experiences, and you can drop me a message during the week for additional support too.
This is about learning to embrace who you are, focus on your wellbeing and give yourself permission to prioritise what helps you feel nurtured, confident and joyful from the inside out.
Wonderful Words from previous clients...
Alongside group Somatic Coaching, I have also had the pleasure of working with people on a 1-1 basis, and wanted to share a few words from their experience...
"Somatic Coaching has changed the way I think about movement. My anxiety has restricted my movement and connection with my own body for many years, and the sessions have helped me address this in a gentle, non-judgemental way. I can now tune in to discomfort in my body without immediate fear and can recognise and soothe those anxious feelings. I have found some movement that works for me, and whilst I am still taking a slow approach, I feel I now have the tools and knowledge to keep going and exploring movement in a positive way."
"I’ve loved reconnecting with my intuition and helping to work through, what was a really traumatic experience, into something that was much more dreamy and hopeful, to shift my body out that place, (protection, fight / flight) and helping me to reconnect with safety techniques to support me to do that."
"Be even kinder than you think you need to be, be even softer than you think you need to be. Doing something, however tiny, makes you feel better than doing nothing. Take time to let your body and nervous system catch up and settle with whatever it is you’re doing."
